Services are to include all labor, materials, supplies and equipment in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth within this solicitation. Vendors must be fully capable of performing the required services while adhering to all laws, specifications, procedures, protocols, applicable guidance, and industry best practices. Furnishing all labor, materials, herbicide, water, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies and supervision required to ground apply herbicide on approximately 654 acres at specified rates on the approximate acreage as listed herein. The estimated acres are given only as a guideline for preparing your bid and should not be construed as representing actual acreage to be treated under this scope of work. No materials, herbicides, water, labor, or equipment will be furnished by the Alachua Office of Land Conservation and Management, unless specifically identified. The contractor must use application equipment acceptable to the Alachua County Office of Land Conservation and Management. Alachua County has adopted a 15% participation goal, and policies which encourage participation of SBE in the provision of materials, supplies (i.e. office, auto, janitor, lawn, etc.) equipment, services and construction. The County will award a price preference to certified SBE vendor or Bidders that meet the SBE participation goal in its response. The County will award a five-percent bid price preference, not to exceed $50,000 on a single bid, to any certified SBE that submits a bid.
