Specifications for labor and materials required to perform services for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanical Equipment which includes temperature and humidity controls at various locations, as directed by the Commissioner of Public Works for fiscal year beginning August 1, 2022 and ending July 31, 2023. These bids will also be for preventative maintenance and repair services for HVAC at various locations. Bids will be based on an hourly rate for emergency maintenance with an estimated allowance for cost of materials. The contractor shall perform work on services on HVAC and temperature and humidity controls at various locations as directed by the commissioner of Public Works or his designee. Any request for clarification to, or relief from, the specifications, must be submitted in writing to the attention of the assigned Buyer at the Purchasing Department's office no later than five (5) business days prior to the Due Date. A certified check made payable to the "City of Lowell" in the amount of 5% must accompany this bid. Bid bonds are acceptable. A performance bond in the amount of 0% of the total dollar award is required prior to contract execution.A payment bond in the amount of 50% of the total dollar award is required prior to contract execution. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the City.
