LOCATION OF THE WORK: Community Park in the Village of Mundelein, Illinois. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project will include but not limited to: watermain service replacement and associated site restoration or any other miscellaneous items indicated on the plans and as needed to complete the proposed improvements. This project is to be bid as a unit price contract. BID SECURITY: A 10% Bidder's Bond, Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bank Draft will be accepted as bid security and must accompany the bid. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 90 days. OWNER: Mundelein Park & Recreation District, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein IL 60060. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE: It is anticipated that work will begin on July 11, 2022, following board approval. Substantial completion is August 5, 2022. Substantial Completion is defined as all improvements except restoration and punch list items. Final completion is August 26, 2022. PROGRESS SCHEDULE: All bidders will submit along with their respective bid documents, a satisfactory progress schedule or critical path schedule which shall show the proposed sequence of work, and how the Contractor proposes to complete the various items of work on or before the completion date specified. Failure to provide a satisfactory progress schedule in the bid package will, at the discretion of the Owner, be disqualified. METHOD OF PAYMENT: Cash payment upon satisfactory completion of work. Retention of 10% to be held for 90 days.
