PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Energy, seeks a qualified contractor to perform work under the terms of this Specification which consists of the installation of temporary and permanent drainage structures according to these plans and specifications, and revegetation all disturbed areas on the site known as Oakwood Avenue Portals Maintenance Project for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The job site is located at 325 Oakwood Avenue, Wise, Virginia. II. SCOPE OF WORK: The intent of this Specification is to prescribe the complete work of the project. The specification permits and directs the work conducted by the selected Contractor. If there are any contradictions between the Specifications and Drawings, the Contractor shall bring these facts to the attention of the Agency and obtain the Agency's' decision as to the true meaning and intention. The Contractor remains responsible for timely identifying any conflicts found to the attention of the agency. In the absence of a formal written response from the agency, or in the event the Contractor fails to bring such to the attention of the agency, the Contractor is responsible to ensure compliance with the most stringent requirement
