PRE-BID CONFERNCE There will not be a Pre-bid Conference. This is a Buckhead CID procurement of a City of Atlanta-sponsored project utilizing funds from the City of Atlanta and Buckhead Community Improvement District. Buckhead CID is serving as the Implementation Manager for the project. Paran Road Resurfacing and Safety Improvements - [insert nature of email]. All questions must be submitted by email by 5:00 p.m. ET on March 1, 2024. The response to the questions will be posted as an addendum electronically by 2 p.m. on March 5, 2024. No bid proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to Buckhead CID. Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract price and a Payment Bond equal to 110% of the contract price, with the terms and surety to be approved by Buckhead CID and the City of Atlanta, and furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required. GDOT Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition, and applicable special provisions and supplemental specifications apply to the contract. Bidders submitting a bid $2,000,000 or less must be either a prequalified contractor or a registered subcontractor with Georgia D.O.T. Bidders submitting bids in excess of $2,000,000 must be prequalified with Georgia D.O.T. The Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) goals for this project are 25% MBE and 10% FBE%. All MBE and FBE firms must be certified by the City of Atlanta's Office of Contract Compliance. The City of Atlanta in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d-42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the ground ofrace, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. No bidder may withdraw her/his bid within one-hundred and twenty (120) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder shall commence work with adequate force and equipment on April 1, 2024 and shall complete the work from I-75 to City of Atlanta/City of Sandy Springs City limits by April 30, 2024. The work shall be milling with paving right behind and shall commence first then any concrete work second. Lane closure hours: 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.- seven days a week. Any concrete sidewalk work and striping can be done between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Buckhead CID reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise. Buckhead CID also reserve the right to reject bids which are non-conforming or to re-open the bidding if all bids are in excess of funds available for the Project.
