The replacement of the deteriorated retaining near the intersection of Woodland Ridge North and Lone Pine Road in West Bloomfield Township. Work includes retaining wall, grading, sidewalk, and underdrain. The new retaining wall is approximately 260 linear feet long and will include a perforated underdrain, conveyance swale, geogrid, and backfill. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund of $50 for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above. The project includes removal and replacement of the existing retaining wall located adjacent to Lone Pine Road at the corner of Woodland Ridge N across from Lone Pine Elementary School in the Charter Township of West Bloomfield. The proposed work include removal of the entire retaining wall, approximately 60LF of safety path at the corner of the intersection, and approximately 270 cubic yards of soil behind the existing retaining wall. New retaining wall will be interlocking block design per the Township's standard details. New safety path will be installed at removed locations. A new perforated underdrain will be installed behind the wall and discharge to a new swale at the east end. New backfill behind the wall will be sloped to maintain a maximum 1:2 ratio and restored to better than original conditions.
