Intent: KCPS is seeking a qualified Vendor or Vendors who can provide TRASH REMOVAL/DISPOSAL, RECYCLING SERVICES, COMPOSTING, and DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION SERVICES. Vendors have the option to bid on one or more services. KCPS reserves the right to award to separate vendors. KCPS intends to award a contract to the vendor(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the lowest and best, or most advantageous on the basis of all products, services, and requirements contained herein. This contract will be in effect from the date of award for three (3) year contract with two (2) possible one-year renewal options OR a one (1) year contract with four (4) possible one-year renewal options, provided such renewal is mutually agreeable to both KCPS and the Vendor. The goals of service are: * Reliable service and communication * Maximal diversion from landfill with lowest net impact on the environment * Optimal educational awareness / integration of students, and staff * Minimal overall costs consistent with goal accomplishment Questions regarding this IFB shall be made electronically via e-mail and directed to: Connie Fuimaono at bidquestions@kcpublicschools.org.The subject of the e-mail shall be "QUESTION - IFB C-22011". Failure to provide the correct IFB number in the email will deem the question unanswerable and will not be considered as part of any addenda. Responses to all properly submitted questions will be posted on the KCPS website as addenda to this RFP. The deadline for submitting questions on this IFB is April 23, 2022, by 1:00 PM CST. Any questions submitted after that date and time may not be considered or answered. Answers to all questions submitted via email will be answered and posted as an addendum on june 30, 2022 04:00 PM (CT) KCPS reserves the right to refuse for any reason deemed to be in its best interest any and all bids submitted in response to this IFB. Vendors may or may not receive notification from KCPS if their bid is rejected.
