The City of Angels, also known as Angels Camp City is soliciting Statements of Qualification (SOQ) from consultants interested in providing civil engineering services to the City. The requested services will require one person from the firm to serve in the capacity of City Engineer. The selected individual or firm Consultant will be required to enter into a Professional Services Agreement. The initial term of the agreement is three (3) years with an option to extend the contract for two additional years in one-year increments. The City Engineer will become adjunct to staff, working with the City Administrator or designee and various departments to develop and deliver programs and projects associated with private developments and capital improvement projects for water, wastewater, streets, drainage, traffic engineering, parks, and public facilities. The City is looking for consultants that have the experience and qualifications to:
1.Coordinate the Citys Public Works and Water\Waste Water engineering service needs
2.Understand City facilities and operations
3.Efficiently develop and deliver programs and projects
4.Work with staff, City Council, the public and private developers in the development and implementation of projects
5.Have a depth of staff available to deliver an array of engineering services City projects and programs are funded by a combination of grants (regional, state and federal), development fees, gas taxes, assessments and utility rates. Consultants must be experienced with the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual and the administration of the full variety of State, Federal and local funding sources. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
