Reference number : 1614168 Review Title : Repair of the envelope and exterior and interior works Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-06-27 Submission sent electronically accepted: No The OMHM is issuing a public call for tenders to repair the envelope, including balconies, doors and windows, new landscaping and interior renovation of six (6) dwellings at Habitations Workman-Notre-Dame located at 2055 to 2155 rue Notre-Dame Ouest in the borough Le Sud-Ouest in Montreal. The project consists of carrying out all work in accordance with the contract documents. Without limitation, the scope of work includes; Asbestos removal and decontamination of fungal matter in the building; Repair of the masonry (installation of a retaining system for the brick and partial redoing of the mortar joints) and balconies (structural reinforcements, bridging and railings); Replacement of all doors and windows; A new exterior layout (garage entrances, stairs and sidewalks); New landscaping (trees and decorative stones); Refurbishment of four (4) dwellings: replacement of all surface finishes (floors, walls and ceilings); replacement of all electrical appliances (switches, electrical outlets, lighting); replacement of all plumbing fixtures (sinks, washbasins, baths, lavatories); The renovation of two (2) dwellings: complete cleaning, replacement of plumbing fixtures and surface finishes in the bathrooms; replacement of kitchen sinks; drywall repairs and vinyl floors; replacement of switches; electrical outlets and baseboard heaters; cleaning of bathroom exhaust ducts; The replacement of 42 outdoor hoods. The work will be carried out in two (2) storey buildings (ground floor, 2nd and 3rd floors) comprising 54 dwellings. A plan issued by a land surveyor is provided to help the bidder assess the volumes of material to be removed, moved and added. The six (6) dwellings to be refurbished and renovated will be vacant during the work, while the other 48 dwellings will be occupied during the same period. Works duration According to the current schedule, work is expected to begin around the beginning of August 2022, but this date could be changed by the OMHM. In such a case, the modification cannot be used to justify a request for an extra from the successful bidder. The work must be carried out within a maximum period of 52 consecutive weeks from the date confirmed for the start of the work in the letter of engagement. Bid Bond 10% is required. Performance and Material Bond 50% is required.
