This Request for Proposal is to solicit responses from potential Proponents interested in providing biohazardous waste disposal services to McMaster University located at 1280 Main Street West in Hamilton. Ontario. McMaster's objective is to seek a partner that will support and enhance the research and teaching mission of the university experience by providing: - Outstanding services. - Innovative methods and technology The Successful Proponent will be required to comply with all applicable legislation governing the disposal of hazardous waste and must be capable to supply comprehensive services for the weekly removal of biohazardous waste. The Successful Proponent must also be proactive in offering services and diversion strategies whenever possible to minimize environmental impact and support McMaster University's commitment to environmental sustainability. McMaster's bioazardous waste disposal system is managed by the Environmental and Occupational Health Support Services (EOHSS) unit of Human Resources Services department. The contract will be for a period of three (3) years from the date of award, with option of an additional 2 years if mutually agreed upon by the University and the service provider, and subject to annual review. In the event that the successful firm, in the opinion of the University fails to satisfactorily perform the services in accordance with the agreement, the University reserves the right to terminate the contract.
