The project is expected to be awarded on March 18th or later.** The Bay County Board of County Commissioners is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Dupont Bridge Subaqueous Watermain. All equipment and materials shall be provided by the contractor to install, integrate and commission the equipment and piping to Bay County standards and the manufacture of the equipment and material requirements to maintain the factory warranty, and restore all activity locations to preconstruction condition. Work shall be performed in accordance with the Dewberry Engineers Specifications shown at Exhibit 1 and Dewberry Engineers Construction Drawings shown at Exhibit 2. Project consists of installation of approximately 6,360 LF of 24-inch water transmission main with appurtenances, fittings, and valves, of which 4,984 LF will be installed using horizontal directional drill (HDD) trenchless technology under East Bay and the remaining 1,276 LF using open cut trench method beyond the north and south bridge abutments. The new 24-inch water transmission main will be connected to the existing at each end of the Dupont Bridge. Bidders shall submit all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Department via email Purchasing@baycountyfl.gov. All questions shall be submitted no later than 5:00 pm (CST) on Friday, December 6, 2024. Funding for the project may be made possible through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act (ASADRA) program through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth by FDEP and the EPA. Respondents shall comply with the FDEP Supplementary Conditions and the labor standards clauses shown at Exhibit 4.
