Asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility in Scipio Center, New York. Working plans call for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a 5,400-square-foot municipal facility.
Project consists of renovations and vestibule addition to an existing approximately 5,400SF building, built approximately 1967, which houses garage bays, a Town Office and a Town Court. General Construction Project scope includes minor asbestos abatement, creation of a heated vestibule/waiting room, repairing and restoring exterior concrete masonry walls and repainting all exterior walls and garage doors, replacing existing windows and doors in Town office. Interior work includes furring out and insulating interior of CMU walls in Town Office and Town Court, adding carpettiles and new ceiling finishes, painting all walls in Office and Court, adding Janitor Closet and renovating Toilet Room. Plumbing scope includes providing lavatory, toilet and sanitary, water heater and utility sink. HVAC scope includes removing and replacing the existing system. Electrical work includes updating electrical wiring and replacing all light fixtures, including upgrades in the Storage Bays. Construction contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1.Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: a. General Building Construction. b. Plumbing Construction. c. Mechanical Construction. d. Electrical Construction. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bid sand to waive informalities and irregularities Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Construction may begin on site on or after Sept.15, 2022. The reply will be in the form of an Addendum, a copy of which will be posted to all planrooms, and to known Bidders who have downloaded or printed complete Bidding Documents. Addenda will not be issued within three (3) days of Bid date. Estimate Range- $400,000 to $900,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
