The selected experienced and qualified environmental consulting firm(s) will be tasked to provide environmental consulting services to support the Canal Maintenance Program. Project Objectives:
A. Maintain the structural and functional integrity of operable canals and adjoining facilities.
B. Reduce canal maintenance and repair costs and minimize liability risk by facilitating the timely completion of routine preventative maintenance.
C. Protect public health and safety, Valley Water assets, and private property from damage associated with flooding, erosion, and slope failure.
D. Repair and maintain operable and inoperable canals in a manner that minimizes impacts to or avoids sensitive biological resources. Minimum Qualifications:
The following qualifications are the minimum required qualifications that a Proposer must meet for a proposal to be considered responsive: o The Proposer's key staff shall have 10 years of experience in environmental planning and permitting.
o The Proposer's team members shall have the certifications, licenses, affiliations, education, and experience appropriate for the project scope.
o The Proposer's team members shall possess knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and permitting requirements for water and biological resources.
o The Proposer's team members shall be familiar with local conditions relating to ecological communities, special-status species, and regulatory processes in Santa Clara County, including familiarity with the Santa Clara Valley Habitat Plan.
o The Proposer's team members shall have experience preparing Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs). Submittals for RFP Questions due by 3:00 PM on 7/1/22
