The NEWNAN-COWETA COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY (Owner) and the COWETA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMSSIONERS (Sponsor) request Proposals from Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) firms who are General Contractors licensed by the State of Georgia, for the construction of Newnan-Coweta County Airport, New Aircraft Hangar Facilities. Upon completion of a review of proposals received, the AUTHORITY anticipates awarding a contract for pre-construction services and, at the discretion of the AUTHORITY, a subsequent contract for construction of the new facilities. The site is located at the Newnan-Coweta County Airport, 115 Airport Road, Newnan, Georgia 30263. The project scope includes construction of two (2) new aircraft hangars, identified as Hangar A and Hangar B. Each hangar is a single-story, approximately 18,200 square foot pre-engineered metal building, consisting of a 140' x 100' hangar and an adjacent, connected 100' x 30' support facility. WORK NOT-IN-CONTRACT (NIC): Site work, including grading, erosion control and asphalt paving, as well as the material for the pre-engineered metal buildings, are NIC and will be provided by the Owner. WORK INCLUDED IN CONTRACT: Foundations, floor slabs, erection of the Owner provided pre-engineered metal buildings, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems as well as miscellaneous appurtenances further described in the RFP are included in the contract.
