Renovation of a municipal facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for security camera replacement at 82 Ionia Ave NW, Grand Rapids MI 49503. Respondent must be an authorized reseller and the product distributed through an authorized distribution channel. Work is to be performed during normal business hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Once the project is started, work will be continuous until the point of completion. Kent County desires a completion date by November 1, 2022 Kent County, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to award to the Respondent whose response is deemed most advantageous to Kent County. Where price is a consideration, schedules, completion date, and life cycle costs will be utilized in evaluating this award. Kent County reserves the right to request additional information it may deem necessary after the submissions are received as part of the evaluation process. Installation and replacement of (31) existing security cameras and housings at 82 Ionia Ave NW. 5 exterior cameras (3) - 3 eye cameras (2) - single eye 3 garage cameras (2) - 4 eye cameras (1) - single eye camera 23 Interior cameras (22) - single eye cameras (1) - 2 eye camera (currently single eye) 1st floor main entry hall Additional Requirements: o Main head unit (Kent County does not have a specific brand desired) o System use training o System must be viewable on multiple desk top computers o 5MP cameras o 30 days of storage/memory o Work with Kent County IT if new switches are needed with installed equipment o Reuse existing cat 6 wiring that is already in place. o Indicate if the system requires connectivity to the internet, and if there are known data connections to points outside the US. o Vendor should supply a diagram of the proposed system which indicates what the Manufacturer considers to be best practices. o Indicate if the device has upgradable firmware, and what is a typical update interval. o Indicate if the manufacturer issues security bulletins on their system. o Vendor to indicate if they will directly maintain the systems, if the systems are customer maintained, or if a 3rd party maintains the systems No Bid Bond is required if a bid is less than $500,000. If the bid is withdrawn after the bid opening, the Respondent may be removed from the Bidder's list ("Vendor Registration") pursuant to Kent County Purchasing Central Purchasing and Open Market Procedures for Goods and Services section D.13 Failure to Perform Satisfactory. Each bid over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file a certified effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. If submitting the bid electronically, attach a copy of the properly executed Bid Bond to the bid. The original Bid Bond may be requested by the Kent County Purchasing Division and is to be received within two (2) business days of request. The Bid Bonds of the unsuccessful Respondents will be returned after the Solicitation is awarded. The Bid Bond of the successful Respondent will be retained until the contract is fully executed by all parties involved. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
