Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Mahomet, Illinois. Working plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This project consists of a combination of additions, renovation, new facilities, and building demolition at five (5) sites in the Mahomet Seymour CUSD #3 School District. More detailed information can be found at www.bulldogblueprint.com. The two new facilities: 1. A new 140,000sf 6th - 8th grade facility to replace the existing Mahomet Seymour Junior High (MSJH). This includes all site work, paving, bus, and car drop off, as well as an 8-lane track, baseball field and softball field. This is located on property south of the existing Middletown Prairie Elementary School (MPE) in East Mahomet. 2. A new bus barn and transportation facility with associated paving and parking. This is also located south of the existing MPE facility. Additions and renovations are happening at three (3) of the existing facilities. 1. Mahomet Seymour High School (MSHS) is to receive a new approximately 35,000sf fine arts wing with band, choir, art, and performance space (auditorium), and support spaces. Renovations include roughly 11,800sf of vacated fine arts spaces into additional PE lockers, and classrooms. Site work includes new turf at varsity field, a second turf JV field, rebuilt 8-lane track, and turf baseball and softball fields. 2. Lincoln Trail Elementary (LTE) is to receive approximately 25,000sf addition and roughly 11,800sf of renovations to existing library and core spaces to provide student support spaces. Additionally, site work to provide improved site circulation, bus drop, etc. 3. MPE is to receive a 10-classroom addition and minor site improvements as needed. Lastly, demolition of the existing MSJH (roughly 80,000sf) is called for upon completion of the project - this scope is TBD. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify those firms most capable of delivering the professional preconstruction and construction management services required for the successful delivery of the Additions, renovations, new facilities and building demolition at five sites in Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3(hereinafter, the "Project"). Through the RFQ process, the District intends to determine which firm should be awarded an AIA A134-2019 Edition - Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager as Constructor without a Guaranteed Maximum Price as modified by Owner. Additional dates related to the review, response, and additional information requests will be shared with the submitting firms once finalized.
