As of October 14, 2022, a design engineer has been selected. No firm timeline has been established for the construction. However, this project will be bid out in phases. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The City of Cambridge seeks an individual or firm specializing in landscape architecture and park planning in conjunction with sustainability/green technology, to prepare construction drawings of a vibrant and environmentally sensitive Leonards Lane Park. The overall concept plan has been designed. The Chesapeake Bay Program Habitat Goal Implementation Team is working on the Targeted Local Outreach for Green Infrastructure in Vulnerable Areas (TOGI) pilot project. This pilot project uses the Nature Network to identify specific communities that are susceptible to climate change, and overlays diversity, equity, inclusion and justice information and social science to identify communities, within the Chesapeake Bay watershed, that would benefit from green or nature-based Infrastructure projects. Through this process three communities were chosen: Williamsport, Pennsylvania; Middle Peninsula, Virginia; and Cambridge, Maryland. Overall project management will be provided by City staff in conjunction with the successful candidate. Community outreach - August/September - 2022 Design Development - October, 2022 50% Construction Drawings - December, 2022 90% Construction Drawings - February, 2023 100% Construction Drawings - March, 2023 Firms submitting a proposal in response to this RFP may be required to give a presentation of their proposal. Additional technical and/or cost information may be requested for clarification purposes, but in no way will change the original proposal submitted.
