The City of Issaquah is requesting proposals from qualified firms (Consultants) to conduct an assessment of broadband services in the City and to make recommendations to the City Council and residents on how to improve upon any deficiencies Aware of both the importance of broadband connectivity and evidence of inadequate service, the City intends to conduct a Broadband Assessment. The assessment will provide a survey and analysis of the current broadband services, examine current and future broadband uses and needs, and identify strategies available to improve broadband service. However, Issaquah is not currently interested in creating a broadband utility or becoming a municipal broadband service provider The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
