Shelby County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials and the performance of all work required for the Shelby County Courthouse Exterior Improvements project. Bids may be approved and awarded at the July 5th, 2022; Fiscal Court meeting. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certified/Cashiers Check or Bid Bond shall accompany each bid. The amount of the Bid Guaranty shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the bid set forth on the Form of Proposal. The Bid Guaranty shall be made payable to the Shelby County Fiscal Court. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the designated time for receipt of bids. Shelby County Fiscal Court requires that the bidder submit to, with the bid, the following information, original and one copy of: 1. Proposal Form 2. Bid Security The successful bidder shall provide a 100% performance and payment bond for the project. Performance and payment bonds shall be executed only by a Surety Company possessing an A.M. Best Co. rating of "A-" or better and which holds a Certificate of Authority issued by the Department of Treasury and shall be listed as an acceptable surety in the Circular, published annually as of July 1, by the Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service in the Federal Register. Envelopes containing bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope that a bid is enclosed and title of the bid. Bids mailed or delivered by courier shall be inserted into two envelopes, with the inner envelope containing the bid. Shelby County Fiscal Court reserves the right to accept the bid deemed by it to be in its best interest, not necessarily the lowest bid; the right to disqualify bids from bidders not deemed to be qualified; the right to disqualify bids deemed to be defective, and the right to waive defects in bids where such defects are not deemed significant.
