The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of: (a) Downtown Sidewalk Renewals and Associated Works (i) Ellice Avenue (East Side) - Vaughan Street to Kennedy Street (ii) York Avenue (Both Sides) - Carlton Street to Main Street The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Ellice Avenue from Vaughan Street to Kennedy Street (i) Monolithic curb and sidewalk removal; (ii) Interlocking paving stone and lean mix concrete removal; (iii) Removal of trees and tree well components; (iv) Supplying and placing base course; (v) Create sump pits for Silva Cell drainage; (vi) Install leads from Silva Cells to existing catch basins; (vii) Construct tree well curbing; (viii) Installation of Silva Cells; (ix) Install new tree well frames and grates; (x) Adjust MH/Catch Basin frames; (xi) Adjust water valves; (xii) Adjust curb stops; (xiii) Install 100mm monolithic curb and sidewalk with block-outs for paving stones; (xiv) Install paving stone indicator surfaces; (xv) Installation of Detectable Warning Surface Tiles; (xvi) Construction of asphalt patches; and (xvii) Regrading of existing interlocking paving stone. (b) York Avenue from Carlton Street to Main Street (i) Monolithic curb and sidewalk removal; (ii) Interlocking paving stone and lean mix concrete removal; (iii) Supplying and placing base course; (iv) Adjust MH/Catch Basin frames; (v) Adjust water valves; (vi) Adjust curb stops; (vii) Remove and replace curb inlet frame and box; (viii) Construct tree well curbing; (ix) Install new tree well frames and grates; (x) Install 100mm monolithic curb and sidewalk with block-outs for paving stones; (xi) Install paving stone indicator surfaces; (xii) Installation of Detectable Warning Surface Tiles; (xiii) Construction of asphalt patches; and (xiv) Regrading of existing interlocking paving stone.
