This project requires removal of the existing indoor chiller, outdoor condensing unit, piping, and ancillary equipment associated with the system. Installation of UK provided 110-ton Trane air-cooled packaged chiller. Contractor will have to move UK chiller from storage to worksite. Includes installation of new piping, valves, insulation, sensors, and electrical service, the chiller All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions. This project will include the following general aspects of work: SAE CHILLER INSTALLATION PROJECT Remove the existing indoor chiller, outdoor condensing unit, piping, and and ancillary equipment associated with the system. Pickup of UK owned air-cooled packaged chiller (Trane 110 ton) at the Vaughn Warehouse (1247 Versailles Road, Lexington) and install the new chiller at SAE house (410 Rose Lane, Lexington). Includes installation of new piping, valves, insulation, sensors, and accessories as indicated. Includes relocation of surge panel and connection of new power circuit to the new chiller. System Balancing and Certification required: Provide a final, certified air & water test and balance of the new system with all valves, sensors, etc. in normal operating position for cooling. Balance & adjust the chilled water flow to meet design requirements.
