As of July 26, 2024, a construction manager at risk has been selected and this project is in the pre-construction/negotiated status. It is anticipated construction will start in 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The University of Nebraska intends to procure a qualified contractor to provide pre-construction services and construction services as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for improvements to Memorial Stadium on the UNL city campus (the “Project”). The Project is anticipated to be completed in phases, each of which will be subject to a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) within the University’s budget for such phase and the overall Project. The overall Project budget is being evaluated and will be determined by the University in its sole discretion. The proposed project includes various renovations within Memorial Stadium. Renovations may include, but may not limited to, restroom upgrades, addition of points of sale and concession stand upgrades, addition of ADA vertical circulation and seating upgrades. The scope of the work will be more completely described in the BOR approved Program Statement and other documents included in this RFQ. As of December 2023, an awarded Construction Manager has yet to be announced. Although a timeline for construction has yet to be released, ground-breaking is not anticipated prior to fourth-quarter 2024. Project completion is estimated by August 2026.
