Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Spencer, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work under this contract will include all equipment, labor, material, supplies, etc. necessary to furnish the work described in this contract. It will include overlay paving, leveling, and full-depth reclamation to an approximate depth of 12", finish grading, complete paving, and all associated work. Asphalt berm and sidewalk removal and new sidewalk installation, restoration, and all associated work. Quantities and street locations are estimated and not guaranteed. For furnishing the 2022 FMPC PHASE III TOWNWIDE ROADWAY PAVING SERVICES. A bid bond, cash, or certified check of five (5) percent is required. Successful bidder must provide 100% Payment and Performance bonds. This project is bid according to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39. Prevailing wage must be paid under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 through 27D inclusive. The Bidder must be pre-qualified by MassDOT. The MassDOT Class of Work classification is PAVEMENT - RECLAMATION. The estimated bid amount is $2,950,000 Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The Owner also reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder that the Owner considers to be unqualified based on the criteria set forth herein.
