American Fork City is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering forms for the design of the 300 W CDBG10 waterline and road improvements. American Fork City Public Works, Engineering Division, is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firm(s) to provide engineering, design, bidding, and construction management or construction inspection services for the American Fork 300 West Water Line and Infrastructure Improvement Project/CDBG 10. A) The American Fork City (City) Public Works Department (Public Works) is responsible for the improvements of the roadway and utility system. The City has adopted roadway and utility Master Plans that includes an inventory of the existing facilities and a plan to increase capacity and maintain the existing system. B) The project area is on 300 W from Pacific Drive to 300 N. The proposed project is to replace a portion of American Fork City's existing 50-year-old plus cast iron and galvanized waterlines, service laterals, isolation valves and fire hydrants. C) In addition to the waterline needs in this area, and to complete wholistic and sustainable infrastructure projects, the City intends to repair existing drainage, roadway, and sidewalk/ADA deficiencies along the corridor in coordination with the waterline replacement.
