Chaffee Elementary School Carpet Replacement Purpose: Oxford Public Schools is seeking written quotes for the removal of carpeting and installation of vinyl composite tile and vinyl base in four (4) classrooms and one (1) storage area located at Chaffee Elementary School, 9 Clover Street, Oxford, MA 01540. Scope of Work The scope of work for the project will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. The work contemplated under this RFQ and described herein is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage law. Contractors shall make provisions in their quotation to pay their employees prevailing wages as detailed on the accompanying wage schedule in Appendix A. 2. Furnish and install approximately 4,680 square feet of vinyl composite tile. 3. Vinyl composite tile shall be Armstrong imperial texture; approximately 2,340 SqFt "Teal" and 2,340 SqFt "Blue Dreams" or approved equal. 4. Remove and dispose of existing carpet, existing vinyl tile, any/all underlayment material, prepare floors, and install vinyl composite tile and 6" vinyl cove base. 5. Contractor is responsible for properly disposing of the removed carpet and all demo debris in accordance with pertinent Federal, State, and Local regulations. 6. Provide a dumpster on site for all trash and demo debris. 7. Moveable bookshelves, chairs, tables, furniture, personal effects, and computer related items will be moved by Oxford Public Schools staff. 9. Work & demo to be done during normal working hours to the maximum extent feasible. Project must be completed no later than August 19, 2022. 10. A Payment Bond of 50% of your bid price is required.
