Tremont Borough will accept separate sealed Bids for the Tremont Borough Union Street Bridge Project Each Contract will be awarded separately.Each Contract Bid should be in a separate sealed envelope. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to or naming as Obligee Tremont Borough in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the Bid as a guarantee that in the case the Contract is awarded the successful Bidder will execute the Contract and furnish all Bonds as may be required. Poff, PE 950 East Main Street, Suite 204 Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 The Contract is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate minimum wage rates must be paid by the contractor for performance of all necessary work. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. The contractor shall also comply with Act 127 of 2012. Tremont Borough is funding these projects through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding and as such these Contracts are subject to the Federal Requirements listed in the Contract Documents. Tremont Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or bidding irregularities, to delete or reduce any Bid Item, and to award the Contract(s) as may be deemed by Tremont Borough Council to be in their best interest.
