(42.959170N 089.349252W) Project Category Code: Erosion Control/Slope, Bank Stabilization, Watershed Protection/Riprap, Water Resources (River/Stream), Sitework/Excavating and Grading Description: Work of this Contract comprises restoration of an eroding earthen dike which separates Grass Lake from Grass Lake Tributary to Oregon Branch Badfish Creek, for the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (OWNER). Work includes, but is not limited to improvements to approximately 650 feet of access driveway prior to construction, abandonment of seven monitoring wells, rebuilding approximately 4600 linear feet of the dike (to 1958 design with 12 feet top width and 2:1 side slopes), constructing approximately 1630 linear feet of stone toe, approximately 1000 linear feet of floodplain benches, and 3 cross vanes and 8 J-hooks as in-stream flow deflection structures, replacement of a culvert, and seeding and blanketing of the restored dike. Additonal Description: All prospective bidders must be qualified for this specific Work. Before proposals will be accepted for the work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the prospective bidders / subcontractors to perform the size and type of work specified in the Contract Documents. All prospective bidders must submit qualifications for review and approval by the District. Subcontractors are not required to submit qualifications. Prequalification applications will be distributed with the Contract Documents or can be obtained from the District. Bidders who have already submitted prequalification documentation to the District within the current calendar year need not resubmit but must notify the District in writing by the prequalification due date (using the form provided) of their intent to prequalify for this specific work. Prequalification applications must be completed and submitted to the District office no later than 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Bidders will be notified only of disqualification no later than Friday, July 1, 2022. Bids received from bidders without prequalification documents on file with the District will not be opened. Bids will not be accepted from contractors that have been debarred or suspended by the Federal government (listed on the federal "Excluded Parties List").
