Qualified contractors are invited to bid on the construction of a new 7-bay Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) in Littleton. The project is located on an existing CDOT site just south of C470 on the east side of Santa Fe Drive (US 85). The site is accessed by the intersection of Blakeland Drive and Santa Fe. The new VSF shall be an 8,100 square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with a standing seam metal roof. This VSF will contain seven 20'-0" x 50'-0" bays used to store CDOT plow trucks, two of which will be used as wash bays and have waterproofed finishes and fixtures, as well as one single story administration area adjacent to the vehicle bays. The flooring shall be concrete slab-on-grade with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead doors. The site currently has an existing VSF, a sand shed, a magnesium-chloride containment structure and a storage shed. The existing VSF building shall be demolished by CDOT under a separate contract prior to General Contractor mobilization for this project. The existing sand shed and mag-chloride containment structures shall remain as-is, with their existing electrical panels reconnected to the new VSF panel. One existing storage shed shall be relocated by the Contractor to a location (on site) determined by CDOT. The site is served by South Metro Water and Sanitation District for water and sewer. Power and natural gas are provided by Xcel. Telecommunications service is provided by CenturyLink.
