The contractor shall remove and dispose of all sediment contained from the catch basins, manholes, and spillways marked for cleaning, as indicated on the map provided by WCRC. This work will be paid for by each structure cleaned. The contractor shall remove all sediment, sod, and soil from the HMA paved spillways as indicated on the map provided by WCRC. This work will be paid for by each structure cleaned. There may be times when WCRC requires emergency structure cleaning or repair. This work will be coordinated with WCRC and paid for at an hourly rate. Location of Work The catch basin cleaning work will be spread throughout Wexford County. Below is a listing of the Village or Township, along with the street name, indicating the quantity of structures along each route that require cleaning. Not all structures along each route require cleaning. WCRC will provide maps of each route/location indicating which structures require cleaning, upon bid award. This bid is for providing the above described work and services to the Wexford County Road Commission from the date of acceptance through March 31, 2023. The Road Commission reserves the right to extend these unit prices for an additional period, up to 12 months beyond that date, by mutual consent of both parties. It is necessary to be completed prior to August 12, 2022. No work on Sundays, or holiday weekends. In order to be considered for contract award, the bidder must be able to demonstrate that they currently own or have access to all equipment required to complete Catch Basin Cleaning along MDOT trunklines and WCRC local roads. The bidder must provide a list of equipment to be used for the Catch Basin Cleaning Services indicating quantity, size, and age. The bidder is required to have a liquid waste hauler license. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name of bidder, item being bid, and clearly marked as a sealed bid. The Wexford County Road Commission, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any defects, and to accept the bid which, in its opinion, is the most advantageous to the Road Commission.
