Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility.
A. Work can be generally be summarized, but not limited to, the following: 1. Areas of work: Student Services Building. a. Removal of existing boiler, boiler pump, heating system pumps, steam heat exchanger, steam condensate pump, and associated controls, piping, and electrical. b. Installation of two new boilers and boiler pumps in 2nd floor Mech room. c. Installation of new heating system pumps in first floor Mech room. d. Extension of new boiler gas vents and combustion air intakes up through the roof. New roof penetration are required. e. Natural gas piping work to connect the new boilers. f. DDC controls for the new equipment. g. Electrical work associated with heating system removal and replacement. Construction of the Student Services Addition. General Contractors; HVAC/Plumbing Prime Contractors, and subcontractors in the following trades: Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing are required to prequalify prior to requesting Bid Documents.
