Site work for a civil project in Mackenzie, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
The proposed contract requires the upgrade of 200m of road to an existing switchback on the Morfee Mountain Road to allow for sufficient space for vehicle tracking, as well as the installation of four (4) culverts to improve drainage around the switchback. Upgrading activities include the grubbing and clearing of new excavation areas, excavation of cut slopes, widening of road surface through the switchback, and wasting of excess materials. Culvert activities include installation of culverts, rock armoring of outlets, and rock armoring of ditches in two locations. Morfee Mountain Road is approximately 3km north of the town of Mackenzie and accessed directly from Highway 39. This road accesses popular recreation areas and a BC Hydro facility, in addition to BC Timber Sales blocks Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
