As of July 26, 2022 - RFP 18-22 is being rebid due to an insufficient number of bids received at the Wednesday, July 13, 2022, bid closing. Change the bid closing date from Wednesday, July 13, 2022, to Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Buncombe County Schools is pleased to announce the upcoming bid for the North Buncombe Middle School Softball Field Project. The expected Notice to Proceed on this project will be mid-August 2022, after approval of the selected, responsible bidder by the Buncombe of Education. Approval will be voted on during Thursday, August 4, 2022, Buncombe County Board of Education meeting. he project will be an important addition to the school and includes: - Sitework, including but not limited to grading, drainage, and site walls, to support the new field. - Construction of the field itself including sod, fencing, dugouts, backstop, cast in place concrete sidewalks and pads, and other work included in the construction documents. - Site electrical including meters, panels, distribution and scoreboard, and other work. Buncombe County Board of Education reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
