Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Redwood City, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

As of August , 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on August 24, 2022. Project Description The purpose of this project is to provide demolition and debris removal services the Smith Property located within the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve in San Mateo County. The scope of work includes remediation of hazardous materials, demolition and removal of a 2,700 s.f. house and 1,300 s.f. wooden barn a removal of water tanks and non-native vegetation, , and minor grading for drainage and erosion control, as further detailed and described herein as the Contract Documents. Project Location The Smith Property is located at 105 Rapley Ranch Road in unincorporated San Mateo County, off of Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) Access to the property is restricted by a locked gate at District Stile RR07. Project Schedule Award of Contract is anticipated to occur on August 10, 2022 . The District has submitted a demolition permit application to the County of San Mateo for review and approval. Once the permit is approved, the Contractor shall coordinate with the County of San Mateo to add their contact information to the permit and pull the permit; District will pay all County permitting fees. Contractor must obtain all requisite permits and comply with all pre-construction submittal requirements prior to commencing work activities. Contractor shall coordinate with the District's biological monitor to assist, as needed, with the removal of bat habitat prior to work activities. This may include the removal of peeling roof tiles and non-invasive bat exclusion measures. Five (5) days prior to the start of abatement work, the District's biological monitor will install bat exclusion devices in the two structures and relocate bats and woodrats as needed. Phasing construction may be required if the structures are not cleared biologically (due to use by bats, birds, or dusky-footed woodrats). If the structures are not cleared biologically, work shall cease in the immediate area surrounding an animal citing and may resume when the biological monitor confirms that the animal has relocated. Onsite construction activities are anticipated to take approximately four weeks. Total project cost is estimated at approximately $250,000.00
