The scope of the project includes construction of approximately 4,475 linear feet of 8-inch water line in the Neartown and Homestead Districts between SH75 and Pacific St. CSP's must be accompanied by a certified check upon some responsible bank of the State of Texas or a bid bond from a Surety Company holding a permit in the State of Texas in the amount of 10% of the bid. The amount of said check or bond will be forfeited to the Owner and the bank or surety shall be liable to the Owner for the amount in the event the successful proposer shall fail or refuse to enter into a contract or furnish bonds as hereafter required. The successful proposer must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from a Surety Company holding a permit in the State of Texas and approved by the Federal Government. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as associated with the ARPA-CLFRF and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Bids may be held by City of Conroe for a period not to exceed 30 / 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Bids may be submitted online or hard copy. Questions must be submitted and will only be answered (no phone calls or emails will be accepted to discuss any aspect of the bid).
