This informal bid package is for the electrical and communications work for the temporary facilities within the temporary "PE Village" campuses. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the Scope of Work. See the expanded Scope of Work attached to the back of this document for additional details. Project Timeline: Bids due June 27th , 2022, by 2:00pm. Notice of Intent to Award to the successful bidder is expected by July 13th, 2022; with formal award of contract by July 15th, 2022. Substantial completion of work must be achieved by August 22 nd , 2022. Qualified Contractors: The Sierra Joint Community College District has adopted the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act which governs public works procurements. In accordance with the Act, the District maintains a Qualified Contractors list for informal bidding of public works contracts. For a bid to be considered for this project, bidders must submit a pre-qualification application prior to the bid submission deadline for this project. Acceptance of that bid is subject to review of the pre-qualification application prior to contract award. Bid Security can be provided in the form of certified or cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of not less than tenpercent (10%) of the total bid price. Failure to furnish bid guarantee in the proper form and amount, by the time set for opening the bids, may be cause for rejection of the bid. Payment & Performance Bonds: The contractor awarded the project will be required to provide a 100% payment bond and 100% performance bond BEFORE work can begin. Bidders shall ensure all surety companies have a minimum A-rating as rated by the current edition of "Best's Key Rating Guide". Only California admitted surety insurers will be accepted for the issuance of bonds. Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, or re-bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the work.
