Site work for a water / sewer project in Petaluma, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of the City of Petaluma's recycled water system began in 1981 and expanded over time. Recycled water is conveyed from the oxidation ponds at Lakeville Highway. The system currently serves 871 acres of agricultural land and 339 acres of golf courses, parks, and greenbelts. During the dry weather season, the City distributes water to recycled irrigation customers. The existing turnouts are at the end of their useful life having been in service for 30+ years. Maintenance is becoming difficult as parts are no longer available. The project has been moved to FY 23/24 construction to allow for completion of the Recycled Water Master Plan and possible re-prioritization. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 20, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
