PURPOSE
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is for the Santa Cruz Unified School District No.
35 to contract with a qualified firm to provide Construction-Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) services. The
Construction-Manager-at-Risk firm will provide complete construction services including but not limited
to design assistance, budget estimating, value engineering, scheduling and constructability analysis as
required for the successful completion of Rio Rico High School.
The Construction Manager will assume the risk of delivering the project through a guaranteed maximum
price (GMP). The CMAR will be responsible for construction means and methods and will be required
to solicit bids from prequalified subcontractors (a combination of qualifications and price factors) to
perform the work utilizing the subcontractor selection process submitted.
Project Description:
The Project consists of installation of a new Jr. ROTC Obstacle Course which will require having a qualified and
experienced JROTC Designer/Subcontractor on the CMAR Team to assist in the design of the various stations. This
Design Assist Subcontractor will work with the Architect, ADM Group, Inc. during the entire project. Realizing this
subcontractor is extremely specialized, it is a critical evaluation category during evaluation and award of the CMAR
contract.
