For the Planting of Various Borough Supplied Trees, Bushes and Shrubs (the Work), as more fully described in the Technical Specifications of the Contract Documents. No bids will be received after the date and time set forth above. Bidders shall submit an original and (2) two copies of their respective bids in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words Public Bid Planting of Various Borough Supplied Trees, Bushes & Shrubs clearly visible on the outside of the envelope. Municipal Building offices are closed on Fridays from June 17 to September 2. The Borough Clerks Office will insure that the electronic documents are distributed; however, the Borough will not be responsible if a bidder cannot download the documents. NO BIDS MAY BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY. Each bid must be submitted, in writing, on the bid pages furnished in the bid specifications to the maximum extent possible. Prospective bidders shall telephone at least one business day in advance to reserve a bid package. The Borough assumes responsibility only for mailing the bid package to the prospective bidder and not for proper and timely delivery of such bid specifications. A certified check, cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid, guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder will execute the contract and deliver the bond(s) required by the Contract Documents. Bidders must also submit a Consent of Surety with the bid, wherein the surety agrees to furnish the required bond(s) if the bidder is awarded a contract. The successful bidder shall submit a copy of the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate(s) for itself and all subcontractors prior to award of a contract by the Borough. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids or waive any informalities therein pursuant to and in accordance with applicable law.
