The Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency (OCRRA or the Agency) is a State-created public benefit corporation whose primary responsibility is to manage Onondaga Countys solid waste in an environmentally responsible manner. The Agency is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director. Although the Agency has been given broad powers to accomplish its purpose, its primary focus is on reducing and reusing the communitys solid waste. The recycling component is accomplished by an active, highly regarded program for yard and food waste composting at two locations in the County. OCRRA posts responses to questions electronically Friday, July 1, 2022 The Ley Creek Transfer Station is located at 5158 Ley Creek Drive (off Seventh North Street) in the township of Salina, Onondaga County, New York. It is centrally located in Onondaga County and offers easy access from both Interstate 81 and the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90). The site is bounded by the New York State Thruway to the north, Ley Creek to the south, a closed landfill to the east, and a lot occupied by the Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection to the west. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
