This project includes (1) demolition of existing "chain and flight" sedimentation equipment in JVWTP basins 3-6, (2) replacement of the demolished equipment with new chain and flight equipment pre-purchased by the Owner; (3) electrical equipment and electrical conductors for a completely functioning system; and, (4) procurement and installation of 140 MGD of high-rate inclined plate settler equipment in the same JVWTP basins 3-6. Due to uncertainty in global stainless-steel prices, the contractor will be allowed to index prices for the plate settler equipment as specified in the contract documents An Award of Contract, if it were awarded, will be made within 60 calendar days of the opening of bids. All work shall be completed according to the milestones listed in the contract documents in two separate contract phases. The chain and flight equipment shall be substantial completed by May 1, 2023; the inclined plate settler equipment shall be substantially completed by May 1, 2024. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, money order or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price payable to the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, provide evidence of worker's compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price.
