Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Dublin, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and fitness / recreation center.

The proposed project consists of the renovation of the existing police department building in the Dublin civic center, changing the building's occupancy to assembly A-3. The renovation includes: major reconstruction of the first floor where all interior construction, finishes, and systems will be replaced with new layout to accommodate a new Dublin Cultural Arts Center, minor renovations to the second floor of the building with most walls to remain to provide staff spaces for the parks and community services department, replacement of the roof and HVAC equipment for the building, structural upgrades to the column/beam connections, and minor improvements to the site for accessibility compliance. The first floor's program consists of a black box performance/event space, gallery, art classrooms, dance studio, music studio, and an exterior ceramics yard enclosed by fences. The second floor's program consists of offices for the parks and community services department, two new restrooms, two new showers, a new janitor's closet, a break room, a conference room, a lactation room, and a fitness room for the city staff.This will be a LEED project with requirements to meet Silver criteria. The City's estimated total construction cost for this Project is between $7,750,000 - $8,250,000. The estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the bidders nor the contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimated cost rang *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Questions concerning the project or the bid package must be submitted by facsimile to (925) 829-9248, ATTN: Michael Boitnott or by email at michael.boitnott@dublin.ca.gov, at least ten (10) calendar days before the time specified for bid opening. Where appropriate, the City may respond to such questions by addenda transmitted to all plan holders. The City of Dublin reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or irregularity in bidding pursuant to applicable law. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 20103.8, if the City elects to award a contract for performance of the project, the contract will be awarded pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 20162 and other applicable law to the responsible bidder submitting a responsive bid with the lowest total bid price for the base bid without consideration of the bid price for any additive or deductive items. All bids will remain valid for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. Except as permitted by law and subject to all applicable remedies, including forfeiture of bidder's security, bidders may not withdraw their bid during the ninety (90) day period after the bid opening.
