**As of July 13, 2022 this project has been awarded to Arrow Paving Company, Inc. P.O. Box 129 1350 N. Broad Street Lexington, TN 38351 Only 1 Bidder. Was approved @ 150.00 per ton in place.** The work consists generally with asphalt resurfacing of identified City streets. The per ton in place price shall include but not be exclusive to mobilization, street cleaning, tack coat, traffic control, clipping shoulders where necessary and milling where necessary to provide smooth joints when connecting to existing pavement. The city estimates utilizing approximately 2500 tons of in place asphalt. All work shall be completed in accordance with the most current version of the Tennessee Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, supplemented by the project contract documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the minimum amount of FIVE PERCENT (5%) of the contract price for the purpose of guaranteeing the Bidder will enter into an acceptable contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a contract performance bond and payment bond of ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the contract price. Bidders are required to be licensed as a Tennessee Prime (General) Contractor and qualified for the type of construction being bid. Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the bid is delivered. The City of Savannah reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids and to negotiate with the awarded bidder. Bids accepted and read will remain effective for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date and time set for the opening of such bid.
