Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Vandenberg AFB, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
This is a Design-Build Project The LSS CRAC units are under-performing and fail to cool the approximately 100' by 82' data center. Four Data Aire units, Model No: DAAD-1634-AO units were installed in 2009 and utilizes R-22 refrigerant. They are Air Cooled, Downflow, 16-ton, three phase, 460V, split system with outdoor condensing units. Total nominal cooling was 64 tons. CRAC-1 is completely inoperative and others have been poorly maintained. The Data Aire dehumidifiers are also inoperative or marginally functional on these units. Additional mini cooling units currently supplement the four main CRAC units. Four 2-ton cooling units and a single 1 ton unit have been placed for additional cooling. The current system has a nominal cooling tonnage of 57 tons (3x16 + 4x2 + 1). Plus, additional blower fans have been installed to increase air circulation. But not limited to please review the SOW for additional information. Magnitude of Construction: $1M - $5M Prevailing Wages Apply. Contract Duration = 365 days *RFI's have been released.
