This Request for Supplier Qualifications (the "RFSQ") is an invitation by the Limestone District School Board (the "Board") to prospective respondents to pre-qualify in accordance with the evaluation of responses (Part 2) for eligibility to provide Consultant Services for Additions, Renovations and Alterations (the "Deliverables"), as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B). The Board's district serves more than 20,000 students in 55 schools and 5 alternative education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee. The Board expects to establish Vendor of Record (the "VOR") lists for various consulting services for future projects or assignments. Once established, it is the intention of the Board to enter into three (3) year VOR arrangements with up to 8 consultants (the "Consultant") from each category, with the option to extend for up to two (2) years at the discretion of the Board. Specifically, the Board is looking to prequalify licensed and professional consulting firms for Architecture and/or Engineering Services for the eight (8) categories listed below: Category 01: Architectural Consultant - Additions and Renovations Category 02: Mechanical Consultant Category 03: Electrical Consultant Category 04: Structural Consultant Category 05: Civil/Site Consultant (including Storm water Management) Category 06: Envelope (exterior closure and Roofing) Category 07: Geotechnical, Testing and Inspection Category 08: Ontario Land Surveyor (Legal and Topographic Survey) Throughout this agreement period the Board will rotate the invitation to the prequalified VOR list of approved Consultants for job opportunities in a fair and equitable manner. The Board reserves the right to determine how this rotation is managed. Where a project requires the involvement and services of several disciplines, the designated Consultant acting as prime consultant would be expected to solicit fees from other discipline consultants (the "Sub-Consultant") that are on the pertinent established VOR lists approved by the Board. Consultants must submit separate proposals for one, some or all categories. Consultants who do not participate in this pre-qualification process and who are not subsequently approved will be excluded from job opportunities during the term of the pre-qualification. Consultants who have been previously pre-qualified or who are currently performing work for the Board must also respond to this request to re-qualify to bid on job opportunities. Pre-qualification does not impose any obligation on Limestone District School Board to call upon any pre-qualified Consultant to perform a project or any other service.
