Removal of the existing synthetic turf playing surface and installation of a new synthetic turf playing surface as called out in the contract documents. Work shall also include minor base fine tuning and infill installation as called out in the documents. Engineer's Estimate: $902,833 Work Shall Also Include Be Completed Within 40 Calendar Days From the Date When Contract Time Commenced to Run, Which is Anticipated to Start on July 15,2024. Owner Specifically Reserves the Right, in Its Sole Discretion, to Reject Any or All Bids, to Re-bid, or to Walve Inconsequential Defects in Bidding Not Involving Time, Price or Quality of the Work. Owner May Reject Any and All Bids and Walve Any Minor Irregularities in the Bids. Compensation for Work. Contractor's total compensation for the Work performed under this Agreement (Contract Sum) is $Enter Dollar Amount, to be paid as (check one): (1) lump sum; (2) lump sum with progress payments; (3) per attached schedule of rates and charges, up to a guaranteed not-to-exceed amount of $Enter Dollar Amount. All payments (check one): shall not be subject to a five percent retention. Contractor's hourly rates are listed in Exhibit A, Scope of Work and Cost Proposal. In the event payments to Contractor equal the "not to exceed" amount, and absent a written modification to this Agreement signed by the Owner, Contractor shall complete all services required under this Agreement without further compensation or cost reimbursement. Work shall also include minor base fine tuning and infill installation as called out in the documents. Scope of work: The general extent of the site clearing and demolition work is shown on the Drawings and can include, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Demolition, removal, and disposal of existing synthetic turf and SBR Rubber infill. 2. Salvaging, Stockpiling, and Cleaning of existing sand material. It shall be the responsibility of the successful turf contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the complete installation of a synthetic grass material. The system shall consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. A complete synthetic grass system consisting of 2-inch tall dual fibers (consisting of a slit film and monofilament polyethylene fiber). 2. A resilient infill system, consisting of one of the following: a natural infill system consisting of sand and either Brock Fill, Cork, or Amorim 201 (Cork/Olive). 3. Replacement drainage / shock pad panels as called out in this section. 4. A full warranty and maintenance service contract as outlined in the specification section. Work included: Provide temporary construction facilities, utilities and controls needed for the work. Before you may start any Work at the Site, you must attend a pre-construction conference. On all questions concerning the acceptability of material or machinery, the classification of material, the execution of the work, and conflicting interests of contractors performing related work, the decision of the Engineer shall be final and binding upon both parties, except in the case of gross error. Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of Bidding Documents to Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by written Addenda mailed, faxed, or delivered to all parties recorded by Owner as having received Bidding Documents. Owner may not answer questions received less than 10 Days prior to the date for opening Bids. B. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect, and Bidders shall not rely on oral statement.
