This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Bozeman, Montana. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Gallatin County had a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) completed for Old Town Bridge(s). With the PER, Gallatin County applied to the Montana Coal Endowment Grant (MCEP) for the replacement of Old Town Bridge. Old Town Bridge (MDT#02985) is a steel truss structure, constructed in 1894 with some reconstruction efforts completed in 1984 It is located 2 miles north of Three Forks and crosses the main channel of the Jefferson River, connecting Gallatin and Broadwater Counties. The bridge has a 7 ton posted weight limit and was recently closed following an inspection from MDT. The bridge's previous inspection SR was 22.7. The County is soliciting Statements of Qualification from qualified Engineering firms for the following services using the preliminary engineering report completed in 2022. In the preliminary engineering report, six alternatives were considered. However, given the most recent MDT inspection, the first alternative, bridge rehabilitation is no longer an option. The preferred alternative is a three-span concrete bulb-tee team with a steel pile pier. The scope of work will include: o Engineering Services o Design of the new bridge o Survey -Topographical and Easement Survey and Hydraulic Survey o Site map development o Easement exhibits o Interagency Coordination -FWP, Army Corps of Engineers o Geotechnical testing and report o Hydraulic Analysis o Environmental Permitting All engineering and work completed must meet the requirements of the Montana Department of Commerce Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP). It is understood that the final design of the bridge replacement is subject to the review and approval of state regulatory agencies during the detail design phase and may be modified from the systems and configurations described in the PER. All structures chosen for replacement will meet regulatory, compliance and permit requirements for the new structures, including the SPA 124 Permit (Montana Stream Protection Act), the 404 Permit (Federal Clean Water Act) and the County Floodplain Permit. If Gallatin County receives a Montana Coal Endowment Program grant award, change orders may occur to add additional engineering services. For additional information or clarification, please contact: Jamie Grabinski, Lead Grant Coordinator 311 West Main Street, Rm 304 Bozeman, MT 59715 406-582-3192 Jamie.grabinski@gallatin. mt.gov The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
