Renovation of a municipal facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work to be performed requires an external contract for General Construction only to accomplish the removal of existing tile roof and underlayment on both towers of Central Market, installation of new underlayment and tiles on both towers, repair or replacement of existing copper gutters, repair or replacement of damaged existing sheet metal cornice on both towers, and exterior painting of all painted materials on both towers. All bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid opening, unless an award of the Contract is delayed by the required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant, in which case all bids will remain effective for One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days from the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price with suitable, reasonable requirements guaranteeing the performance of the Contract. This Project and Contract is subject to certain special requirements. For example, as more specifically detailed in the Contract documents, the successful bidder shall be required to assure protection against discrimination for employees, applicants for employment, and subcontractors on the grounds of actual or perceived race, color, sex, religion, ancestry, genetic information, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, familial status, marital status, age, mental or physical disability, use of guide or support animals and/or mechanical aids, and to make payment of certain minimum salaries and wages. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and re-advertise if the best interest of the City will thereby be promoted. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects if in its judgment, the interest of the City shall so require. The City further reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids received and reject any or all bids for any reason whatsoever. Included in its right to reject bids, is the right for the City, in its sole discretion, to reject proposals which are deemed by the City to be incomplete, conditional, or obscure, or which contain additions, erasures, alterations, omissions or irregularities of any kind.
