Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Hampton Bays, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The work under this Item shall consist of the following in accordance with the plans, addenda, proposal and requirements herein: excavating for roadway, slopes, ditches, intersecting highways and all other work incidental to the excavation for the roadway, including disposing of unsuitable and surplus material, preparing the sub-grade, compaction, grading, slopes and shoulders, and all other work needed to complete the Item. Each bidder must provide with its bid, bid security in the form of a certified check equal to five (5) percent of his/her total bid payable to the order of the Town of Southampton, or a bond with sufficient sureties, acceptable to the Town of Southampton, in the sum of five (5) percent of the bid. All checks or bonds shall be returned except to the two lowest successful bidders, the winning bidder will be required to furnish their bid security to be held as contract security for the life of the project, according to the requirements set forth in the bid package. When the contract is signed by the winning bidder, the second lowest bidder's security will be returned. The Town Board of the Town of Southampton reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids received, and/or reject any or all bids. Clarification Deadline: 7/15/2022 4:00 PM
