This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to erect one (1) tolling facility at MP 322.20, including gantry structure, concrete utility building, complete and operable, asphalt toll zone pavement and asphalt parking area. Work items include, but are not limited to: 2,676 CY Excavation, All Classes 879 TON Superpave Asphalt Materials (Binder, Base and Wearing Courses) 267 TON Subbase (No. 2A) 775 LF Guiderail, Type 31-S 1 LS Tolling Facilities 3,130 LF Conduit 4,300 LF Pavement Markings 12 EA Junction Boxes, Various Types 850 LF Temporary Concrete Barrier Milepost 322.20 is located approximately 2.5 miles east of the SR 29 Interchange, Exit 320, in Chester County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
