The Project includes the following Work: Furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to construct one (1) potable supply Test Well and performance of a Pumping Test. The Pumping Test will be performed in accordance with the NYSDEC Pumping Test Procedures for Water Withdrawal Applications, December 2019. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. No pre-bid conference will be held for this Project. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and its Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by the General Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the New York Department of Labor, Article 8 Public Work, as applicable to the Work. Davis Bacon wage rates also apply to this contract. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components, and pig iron and direct reduced iron.
